Sinergen Minerale

SINERGEN minerale contains mineral salts of magnesium and potassium associated with vitamin C. Magnesium is a cation useful to the balance of the electrolyte and, together with potassium, it supports the neuromuscular functionality; magnesium also helps to counteract fatigue and physical weakness, while potassium ensures the steadiness of a normal blood pressure. Vitamin C helps the energy metabolism and the nervous system to be efficient. SINERGEN minerale is indicated in cases of lack of magnesium, potassium and vitamin C caused by an insufficient food intake, reduced absorption, increased requirement, or from excessive depletion of body fluids.

Mineral deficiency

Adequate intake of minerals through diet is essential to maintain health, to facilitate conception, to reduce the risk of spontaneous abortion and to complete a safe pregnancy. For example, low plasma magnesium levels have been linked to hormonal imbalances and increased risk of miscarriage.

For these reasons, attention must be paid to nutrition, also considering the quantities of minerals that are introduced into the body through it. In addition, it must be considered that the chronic intake of some drugs can affect the plasma level of some minerals: for example, the chronic intake of oral contraceptives has been linked to the reduction of magnesium levels.

During pregnancy, the need for mineral salts as well as numerous other nutrients increases as they are fundamental both for the health of the mother and for the rapid development which the fetus is facing.

Potassium and magnesium are considered macroelements, i.e. minerals present in the body in high quantities. Potassium is necessary for muscle contraction, including that of the heart muscle, contributes to the regulation of the balance of fluids and minerals in the body and helps to maintain normal pressure. In addition, it can help reduce the risk of kidney stone formation and bone loss during aging.

Magnesium is involved in numerous reactions that take place in the body. It is the cofactor of hundreds of enzymes that control numerous cellular processes, such as protein synthesis, muscle and nerve functioning, blood glucose and blood pressure control, energy production, structural bone development, synthesis nucleic acids and glutathione, which is a fundamental antioxidant to protect the body from oxidative stress. Finally, it is involved in the transport processes of other minerals, such as calcium and potassium, through the cell membranes, essential for the transmission of the nerve impulse, for muscle contraction and for the heartbeat.

Magnesium is well known in the world of obstetrics and gynecology for many important uses. It has been used in the treatment of pre-eclampsia, eclampsia and in the prevention of preterm labor. Adequate magnesium intake is recommended for the treatment of tachycardias and atrial fibrillation, for the treatment of asthma, for the improvement of migraine symptoms and for the treatment of dyspepsia and constipation.

Many women in modern society experience magnesium deficiency due to inadequate dietary intake and consequently numerous ailments can occur. The uses of magnesium are far-reaching, touching many areas of interest in gynecology such as pre-menstrual syndrome, menopause, polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis.
